Alicia Fox Never Identified With Her Crazy Black Woman Character In WWE

June 2024 · 2 minute read

Alicia Fox had quite a ride in WWE, and her character is still remembered to this day. That being said, she really didn’t connect with the character that WWE gave her for years.

Alicia Fox is currently a free agent and has exciting news for her fans. She is scheduled to make her highly anticipated return to the wrestling ring on July 15th, where she will be competing for Reality of Wrestling, Booker T’s company. This upcoming match will mark her first official bout since parting ways with WWE.

During a recent Sign-it-Live session with Highspots, Fox openly shared her experience with the scripted nature of WWE. She revealed that she never truly connected or identified with the scripts that were written for her character during her time with the company. This candid revelation offers fans a glimpse into her journey as a performer and highlights her desire for a more authentic portrayal of herself in the wrestling world.

“One part of my career that I really struggled with is I never identified with the scripts that Alicia had to say. I never identified with the ‘crazy Black woman’. I never identified as a Team Bella girl because I’m Alicia Fox. They’ve always been plural. I am singular, you know?”

We will have to see if Alicia Fox ever makes her way back to WWE. It is possible that the company can have her back in some way, especially with RAW Reunion shows happening every so often.

Alicia Fox seems to be doing much better now, and it appears that she is excited for what is down the line. Only time will tell if she ever gets another chance on television to show a different side of herself.
