WWE SummerSlam turned out to be an incredibly entertaining event. Thanks to outstanding performances from Superstars such as Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, and Logan Paul, people like Kat Dennings almost turned into WWE fan, the pay-per-view was a great demonstration of Triple H’s creative prowess. That being said, the company was still up to their old tricks of fudging the numbers.

Triple H was expected to use the pay-per-view to make a creative splash. He even trended on Twitter with fans thanking him for such a great event. With an event of such scale, WWE saw thousands of people attend it as part of the audience.

WrestleTix’s Patreon revealed the exact details on the ticket distributions for WWE SummerSlam. The ticket distribution for the SummerSlam event was at 40,117. However, the number in the announced attendance of fans present during the event was 48,449. This marked a 19% with the number of tickets sold.

The announced attendance was 48,449 (19% difference). Michael Cole said throughout the show “over 40,000+ fans” until the announced attendance. They opened up more seats all the way up until the map closed. They moved a ton of tickets late. The back few rows never opened up in the upper deck (likely because of the pyro).

The outlet also revealed a chart to compare ticket sales with other WWE pay-per-views on their Twitter page. While SummerSlam 2022 underperformed against SummerSlam 2021 by 5,573 tickets distributed, it attracted more audience members than WWE Hell In A Cell and Money In The Bank combined.
